Hello....Not so good news

Hey, well i have been M.I.A lately because I've been sick. The combination of breastfeeding, low calorie intake, extra early starts and intense exercise has taken a toll on my body, i also picked up a tummy bug and have been throwing up. So I've been advised to stop the insanity programme until i finish breastfeeding. booooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. I'm quite upset because i have been doing so well. The other day i sat in Burger King and ate my own food from home (nuts and raisins) if that is not extreme dedication i don't know what is. I wasn't even fazed by all the junk food around me, quite frankly it made me feel a little bit sickish. I think my body has been cleansed of badness and I'm all about healthy food right now, looking down on junk food lol. I think i might keep blogging about healthy recipes i find and my food intake and then when i'm finished breastfeeding ill start back Insanity.

Wish me luck

Look at this picture, i think i came across it on Hey Fran Hey's facebook page, but it is interesting to see people all weighing the same weight and yet they look so different. You would never know they all weighed 150lbs.

I love the 5ft 11 girl's body, she got cuurrves.

Hello...Day 2 + 3

Well now yesterday was day 2 and i blogged about my exercise but the day wasn't complete so you didn't hear about my food.

Now again i had my meal replacement in the morning before my workout, and the omelet followed again by another meal replacement drink. For meals 4 and 5, they were kind of similar (because i cooked too much rice loool); I had chicken, brown rice (inside the rice was goji berries and walnuts) and some cucumber on the side. Meal 5 was Turkey, brown rice and a tomato sliced. I took a picture of them so you can see.

I ate both on side plates, so i don't over indulged because i love food and that's the only way i can control my portion sizes lol.
Each picture has a prop so you can see the size of the side plates compared to my props lool.

Day 3 (today)

Now today i got up 30 minutes late, i remember my alarm going off and i went to get up, but when i got up my alarm had gone off half an hour ago lool. I did my workout minus 8 minutes because my little man woke up, so I'm going to do some exercise some point today to compensate. This is why i have to stick to 5:30 or it will always be cut short. I'm still getting used to the exercise and still dying but being lazyish (shameful), what i have decided is this is the only week i have to be lazyish because i'm getting used to the moves and stopping to watch a new move. After this first week i do not have any excuse for laziness. What i did not mention is how difficult the stretches are!!! I have never known stretches to be difficult and hard work, but they are like exercises aswell! I sweat through the stretches!!
I have decided also i really do need to buy some recovery powder becasue my muscles hurt too much lool, it should help my stamina also. When i was a gym bunny my mucles did not hurt this quickly, so i believe the workout is working extremly well, then again the proof will be in the pudding (at the end).

So far i have had 2 meals already my staple meal replacement drink in the morning and then about half an hour ago i tried something new. i sliced a banana up and put wholenut peanut butter on each piece. YUM!!!!! I took a picture, it may not look amazing but it tasted goood.

And that is what has happend so far :), one more thing i will add is; i find the healthy food easy so far, but i know for a fact if i didn't blog i would have given up on the exercise loool. But i am proud so far that i am keeping on track.

Wish me luck xxx

Inspiration!!!

How true is this, whenever i want to lose weight or tone up etc, you get all these voices saying why? you don't need to, you look lovely, or your slim already. But what they don't understand is you have an image in your head of how you would like your body to look. If you get the motivation to start going towards it then do it. As long as it is healthy and it isn't going to harm you then go for it. At the end of the day you will feel better for it and probably boost your confidence.

I've started Insanity.................

Ok so I've started Insanity. Yaaaaaaaaaaaay!! But let me tell you this, i knew it was going to difficult which is why i was scared but oh boy it was sooo hard loool. I'm on day 2 at the moment, and obviously  i have done 2 workouts (the test and the first workout). I found that on the fitness test i was pumped at the beginning and the first couple of exercises i was proud of myself then i just got sooo tired and out of breath, so i got lazy. I truly believe if i had pushed myself i could have gotten a few more moves on each exercise (except the push ups oh lord i could not do 1). The whole workout i can imagine people in the army doing loool, it is intense. When i woke up this morning at 5:30 to do day 2 of Insanity, my muscles were aching so i wasn't as lazy as i thought.
Today was a struggle to get up though, i really just wanted to sleep and was seriously thinking 'i just do it later', but that kind of thinking is the beginning of a downfall and i know for a fact it would not of happened or it would have been very difficult to do with my son being awake.
Now for the diet, I am the junk food queen, I love the stuff. So the day before i started Insanity i had a Chinese buffet with as many foods and desserts and sweets as i could eat lool to get it out of my system. I hope it worked and i stay in the healthy mentality. Now speaking of healthiness here is what i ate yesterday:
5.30 am: Vanilla meal replacement in the morning before my workout (which might be a staple early breakfast for me)
9:30/10:30am: Protein omelet with a cup of mango on the side (3 egg whites, 1 whole egg, Turkey pieces and sweet corn coblets)
2pm: another Vanilla meal replacement
4:30 pm: cashew nuts ( i was unprepared while i was shopping and wanted to be healthy obviously and bought a small 90g bag, i have now googled the calories and seen its about 500 for that tiny bag)
6/7pm: chicken, wholemeal muffin and cup of corn coblets

I don't know why but the exercise is so intense plus the controlled diet i feel lighter already loool, it is probably in my head or because my body had a shock.

All in all i do believe this programme is worth doing so far and lets wait for the results.

Wish me luck xxx

Getting ready for Insanity

Well Monday is going to be the start of the Insanity 60 day challenge. Why has it taken so long to start? Lemme tell you lol, I have just moved so I've been getting rooms ready etc and doing a little bit of decorating. The food shop for the diet came in yesterday too and the calender start date for Insanity is a Monday to keep to the schedule. Sounds like a lot of excuses i know but i ensure they are legit lol.

I am quite eager to start this but also scared. i keep watching bits of the discs and thinking o lord o lord how am i going to keep up? Whenever i can i search the Internet looking for tips or before and after videos and pictures. Everything is so motivational (lets hope that motivation lasts).

Here are my plans for Insanity and what i have bought (food wise):

Obviously i have the schedule to follow but I'm also going to put a 60 day rip off countdown pad on the wall. My workout will begin at 5:30am (eaaarlyyy), this is because my son should be asleep and it would give me enough time to get through the whole workout undisturbed. This is the little list of my food shop;

Porridge oats
Whole nut peanut butter
A whole load of fruit (berries, mango, grapes, melon, apples, pears, bananas)
Eggs
Brown bread
Whole meal English muffins
Vegetables (sweet corn, peas, broccoli, tomatoes, small potatoes)
Meal replacement shake (this is my shakeology equivalent)
Sparkling water (something a little different)
Salmon
Chicken
Turkey
Onion
Walnuts

I think that's everything, the only things i still have to buy are some protein powder and a recovery powder.
I have weighed myself already and I'm 153lbs, my height is 5 ft 7 and ill follow the 1500 calorie programme the book provides.

On Monday ill post my starting picture with all my stats and give my experience of the whole workout.

Wish me luck xx

The start of a new beginning

I'm at a stage in my life where i am fed up with my body. I am a new mum, in my early twenties, i should be in my prime, but am i? No.

If you know me you would be used me trying all kinds of diets and was (and still am maybe lol) the type of person who lasts a week or two on a diet. Its gone from baby food to no carbs to 1000 calorie a day. The only consistency i have had was when i went to the gym, but now that i have my lovely son its been quite difficult to go to the gym and membership is slowly wasting away.

Now that i am a mum i have to fix up! its already my mission to try not to look a mess which i think (hope) i do about 80% of the time. But now i also have to incorporate a healthy lifestyle so my son will know this is normal and  good for you.

My biggest downfalls are my love of food, my sweet and fatty food tooth lool, laziness, and i get easily bored of things that seem a chore.

Now it is easy for me to write this and say this is what I'm going to do blah blah but I'm hoping by blasting this out on facebook and showing myself up flaws and all it will encourage, force and motivate me to finish what i start and achieve my goal.

I have decided to follow the Insanity 60 day challenge, which you do at home (a fitness DVD :s ) it includes a nutritional guide and 10 discs which you complete throughout the 60 days. Within this time frame you complete a fitness test multiple times in which you see your progress. Now this doesn't seem to be just one of these home fitness workout DVDs, i mean there are 10 discs how can you get bored lool. It also said to be one of the hardest workouts out there.

I will document my progress with pictures maybe looool  and blog entries probably on a weekly basis.

Wish me luck
